About

Welcome to Lucy Moloney Studio

Explore this lovingly curated contemporary art collection at the intersection of architecture, memory, and landscape — where the city meets the natural world, and the old meets the new.

Drawing on her background in architecture, construction, design and art, Lucy explores the quiet tension of in-between spaces: the fragments of history embedded in our cities and beyond, the play of light across a facade, the stories held within built form. Her work is a personal interpretation of how architecture shapes — and is shaped by — the human experience.

Practice & Philosophy

Working in painting and limited edition prints, Lucy documents the layers of time, light, and shadow that define our shared spaces. Her compositions are known for their controlled energy and hard-edge geometry — vibrant yet considered, precise yet deeply felt.

While her practice is deeply rooted in the Australian landscape and a profound respect for its layered histories, Lucy also draws ongoing inspiration from travels across Italy, Asia, Europe, and North America.

Education

Lucy holds a Bachelor and Master's degree from the University of Sydney, and undertook further studies at the Università di Firenze — an experience that deepened her understanding of historical urban landscapes and the weight of place.
